[Hey Souda, Tsumiki is hunting you down today to personally deliver a small bag of chocolates! Because it is Valentine's day and that is what you do for classmates.]

[Souda isn't that difficult to find. Still grasping on the concept of bouncing back in a world like this, he's sitting outside on a bench near the hotel with his Totodile. Just, why couldn't he arrived on a day as remotely as nice as this one?

Why wasn't Totodile some sort of part heater? She'd taken to him quite nicely despite all his whining, so much so that she insisted on him sharing some of his soda with her. Nothing weird here, just a mechanic drinking from a gigantic jug filled with soda and his Totodile drinking from a smaller one with a straw attached!

There's no way he could've gone through with what he'd wanted to do today, anyway. That was the only thing he'd missed about the island: his room and everything he'd gathered in it. Making something for Sonia would've been possible there--

As Tsumiki draws close, Chevrolet taps him on the leg.]

...What? That's the last can I've go-- [Well, hello there Tsumiki.]

Ts-Tsumiki? [Mission break Souda Kazuichi is now in progress!]

...h-hello Souda-san. [She bows just a little, holding the chocolates out. They aren't anything fancy or special, but they're handmade and they're for you friend. She's trying her hardest to be friendly and brave!!]

[ More or less on time ~~unlike Lucy~~ Nanami will deposit some chocolates - for which she apparently found some sort of mold tray with buneary shapes - into Souda's account.

There's also a Valentine's card featuring a bunch of klink locked together to form a heart shape. Nanami's signature is a little haphazard and childish, but easy to read. ]

[~~What do you mean this response is nearly a month later? Yucee is totally on time!~~

After staring at the Klink decorating the card, Souda can't bare the curiosity. If only he had some tact, though...]

Hey, Nanami, thanks for the chocolates! But those gear on the cover... Are they pokemon? 'Cause I really want one!

The Klink...? Those are definitely Pokemon, yes...they're a steel type Pokemon.

So they are?! They're...real awesome lookin'! So they're actual gear? Actual living gear?!

[Souda's voice might've just went up a whole octave.] I don't remember there ever bein' a steel type, either. Nanami, maybe this place ain't completely bad!

Yep. They evolve into more gears, too, I think...but I don't have one myself, so I'm not sure.

There's lots of steel types, though...it's one of the new types, so I think it must have been introduced in a sequel...anyway, did you know even Onix can become a Steelix?

I want one... No, I want five billion! Don't know about Steelix, though... But steel ones like that Klink thing, those are definitely awesome! And if there's electric/steel types I want 'em too!

[They are living creatures, Souda. For fuckssake.]

There's some of those...you can look around through the 'dex to see what kinds you'd like to get.

[It doesn't take long for Kuzuryuu to get ready for the party, but he's not going to leave without the rest of his entourage. So he waits just outside the boys' hotel room. Maybe Souda beat Hinata out of the room or maybe Hinata went on ahead to go get Tsumiki but in one way or another, Souda is (un?)lucky enough to find himself alone in the hallway with everyone's favorite gangster.]

[And he's got one of those serious looks on his face that makes it seem like you'll be lucky to survive the day if you don't do what he says.]

Oi, Souda, come here for a second. There's something we need to talk about before we leave.

[Kuzuryuu...always looks like that, though, so Souda can't tell the difference. He kind of registers the tone change, but with Monomi 2 in tow, he's a bit distracted. He had to get her just right for this thing, can you cut him some slack?

What is it? Is it about the no present in a box thing or whatever? 'Cause I got that one figured out! She's just gonna walk with me!

Yeah, that no present in a box thing is really annoyin'! I'd kill for a present in a box, so I totally would've done that! But... [Anyway.]

So look, just...don't even go near her, you hear me? Don't talk to her, hell don't even fucking look at her. Just pretend she's not there if you have to. I don't want to have to get between the two of you again. But more importantly, I'm sure Nanami doesn't want any of us fighting.

Why's Nanami gotta be so nice to people? I mean, it's good overall, but Saionji, too?

[Souda, now is not the time. He'd rather not be upset at all, though! But no, he's always gotta be the one being upset for everyone else's sake.]

She's like a fullblown saint when it comes to this stuff! She apologized, yeah, but... Saionji's Saionji. Who knows with her? 'Course I don't wanna talk to her, though! Who knows if she's gonna flip and insult Sonia-san again?

[That and Souda's grudges last for a long time.] But what if she tries talkin' to me first?!

Well you just answered your own damn question there, didn't you? She's a better person than the rest of us fuck-ups combined. And besides, maybe...

[For a minute there, his expression softens into something less severe but somehow almost...torn. You had to bring up apologies and Saionji, didn't you? Rather than finish his thought, however, he just shakes his head.]

Never mind. Anyway, just...ignore her if it comes to that. I know she doesn't make it easy but, again, this isn't for her. It's for Nanami. [He folds his arms over his chest.]

After everything she did for us, the least we can do is pretend like we all like each other for a couple of hours so she can enjoy her first birthday party.

...Yeah, you're right.

[Them trying out another party should be a complete recipe for disaster, but... Maybe Souda was finally getting his bearings here. That paranoia has to go away some time, right?]

I didn't work my butt off just for Saionji to ruin this thing! [He has his own personal reasons for this whole thing, but they're only partially selfish for once. He never had a real birthday party, either.]

She might come in with this weird...thing for her, though. [Can we get passed that? No.] ...Ugh, I'm gonna try my best! But she's hard to ignore, I hope you know! Maybe she'll actually get the hint, too? [We..can only hope, because hell.]

If she gives a shit about Nanami though, she should get the hint. And I would guess she cares at least a little bit since the two of them have been traveling together for so long.
